• The America’s Career InfoNet  is part of the America’s Job Database. The wage and trend section covers current information on careers in a particular state. It also provides wage information throughout the United States. Begin by selecting a job family or use keyword searching.

• Salary Wizard  provides an easy salary calculator. Just select a job title, enter zip code and the state in which you live, then the Wizard will provide you with wage and salary information. Includes news related items on the state of salaries and other tools that could be helpful.  

 Resumes & Cover Letters 

• 200 Letters  creates a database of samples for you to browse through. Maintains a section on how to write a proper cover letter to get you recognized over other applicants.

• Job Hunters Bible: Resumes  This section of the Job Hunters web site provides advice on how to write a resume, where to post your resume, and help if you get tongue-tied in interviews.

• State of Wisconsin Employment  Job Seekers can search for job postings based upon job title or employer name and browse job postings by job category. Employers can post job openings throughout Wisconsin on Wisconsin.gov at no cost.

• State of Wisconsin Government jobs  Search job postings of employment opportunities in the Wisconsin Civil Service, including classified positions with the University of Wisconsin, selected city and county positions. This site provides Wisconsin Civil Service application materials in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) for job seekers to download.

• Monster  is the granddaddy of all the employment web sites. It provides employment opportunities for a wide range of jobs in the United States and worldwide. Includes information about career planning and other career tools. There is a place to submit an online resume and information on upcoming seminars.

• Best Jobs in the USA  is a good place to search for employment opportunities and to post an online resume.

• The Career Journal  can be searched for a wide variety of employment opportunities. Includes articles about employment, salaries, job advice, etc.
