You've come to the right place for computer assistance and information. The La Crosse Public Library has many wonderful resources to learn new technology skills and update those you currently have. Find new materials, assistance and a whole lot of great links to boost your computer savvy.
HIGHLIGHTS
Computer Classes at La Crosse Public Library
La Crosse Public Library offers an ongoing series of introductory computer classes. These classes are designed to give participants the basic skills required in the modern day work environment. Most sessions are three weeks long and the classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 9:30-12:00, in the basement training room at the main library. Participants must have minimal experience using a computer mouse and keyboard. Below is the basic class outline:
- Day 1: Introduction to the physical computer and the Windows® operating system.
- Day 2: Microsoft Word 2007 part 1
- Day 3: Microsoft Word 2007 part 2
- Day 4: Microsoft Excel 2007 part 1
- Day 5: Microsoft Excel 2007 part 2
- Day 6: The Internet, Power Searching and Forms.

- June 2012 classes start on Tuesday the 5th. Classes run Tuesday & Thursday for three weeks and start at 9:30 a.m., Main Library, lower level training room.

Call the WTC Employment Office (785-9440) and ask them to post a job request on their Student Job Board.
