Midweek Movies

See some of the last blockbusters and cult classics here at the Library. Every first and third Wednesday of the month Jan through May at 6:30pm. Free popcorn!

Gaming for Adults

At La Crosse Public Library, adults are allowed to have fun too! That's what we do at our monthly Gaming for Adults events. Learn more about these events and the schedule here.

New Collection at the Library - Video Games

Come in the library and browse our new collection of  Video Games.

They are shelved at the beginning of the “Recent Arrival Audiobooks”, in the first tier of that shelving unit.
They are shelved by call number (which is the game system and accession number).
 
We currently have about 200 games in the collection for these systems:
Game Boy Advance
Gamecube
Playstation
Playstation 2
Wii
Xbox
Xbox 360
 
Holds are allowed on the video games. They circulate for 3 weeks and have 3 renewals.

Monday Mornings @ Main:

Lifelong learning for ages 50 and older

A series for older adults resumes in February and goes through April.

Monday Mornings at Main, a series of La Crosse Public Library programs targeted at adults 50 years and better, will be offered every Monday morning February through April at 9:30 a.m. Music, Blackhawk War, Birding, and senior safety are just some of the programs. Refreshments will be served. All programs are free and paid for by a grant from the Gertrude Salzer Gordon Trust.

Opera Preview

 

A series of opera preview discussions scheduled at the La Crosse Public Library continues Monday, January 16 at 3:30 p.m. The previews will be in the library auditorium on the Mondays prior to the Live at the Met –HD season 2012 at the Marcus Cinema Theater.
